The All My Children alum died on Saturday
Alec Musser's cause of death has been determined three days after he was found dead by his fiancée Paige Press.
The late actor – who previously starred in and among others – died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office revealed on Tuesday.
His fiancée had previously confirmed his passing on her Instagram account in a series of emotional tributes.
The press release reveals that Paige, who lived with Alec in their Del Mar home, knew Alec to be alive the night before his death, January 12th, but on the morning of January 13, she woke up and found him "decedent seated and slumped forward on the bathroom floor."
He had a firearm near him, as well as a gunshot wound to the chest, and paramedics subsequently declared him dead upon their arrival to the San Diego residence.
